Evie's 16 month stats

Hello Everyone! Sorry it's been so long. We've had a rough couple of weeks in the Wharton household. Evie had an ear and sinus infection and then I got her cold the past week and was having a hard time recovering. I believe I'm on the mend now. Evie is over a week on antibiotics and being as cute as can be. She's changing so much. She acts more and more like a real person everyday and less like a baby.

16 Month Stats:
  • Weight 23.8lbs / 60%
  • Length 32.5 " / 95%
  • Head 18 " / 70%
Baby Boy is growing nicely I measured 33 weeks at my last appt and Braxton Hicks contractions have started. I get several a day, so it's nice to know my body is starting to prepare to deliver this Cutie Pie! I really want to have this baby in March!!! I plead with God all the time!!! Please, please let me go early. There's not a lot of faith behind my prayers, just desperation and fatigue.

Christian has started school and we are having to majorly adjust our schedule for his school work. Which means not only is he working long hours, but I am as well. My dad has been really helpful though and stops by to play with Evie so I can have a break. Thanks dad! You're the best!

New Year Update

The Wharton Family is doing very well this year. We made it past the holidays with flying colors.

Evie is officially a walker and has moved to the "Walker Room" at church. She says, "Dada", "Mama", and "Papa" very clearly. Other attempted words are "Bath", "Diaper" and "Boohbah". She is so precious! Christian and I enjoy watching her experience things for the first time and the happiness she brings to our life is priceless!

Baby Boy Wharton is doing great! I saw the midwife last week and he's measuring right on schedule. He moves all the time! He is a lot more active than I remember Evie being. He has a name and we're super excited about it. It's a unique, old-fashioned name, so people be prepared to give a positive response when you hear it for the first time! lol!

Christian is doing great with his workouts and new healthy meal lifestyle. I'm excited to join him after Baby Boy is here! He starts school at NorthWestern University next week, so his schedule will change quite a bit. We're grateful that we have a couple of months to adjust before Baby #2 arrives.

I have my good days and challenging days. Some days I'm full of energy and others I barely get off the couch. Evie has been a real trooper though. Thank God she is a good independent player and for her favorite friend, Cozy. I did have some breathing issues the past two weeks, but I think we've figured out it was acid reflux down low in my GI tract. I'm on a daily dose of Zantac and that seems to help a lot!

Sorry no pics or video this time. I'll work on getting some walking and talking shots! Take Care!

Christmas 2008

Well, Christmas was a hit! We celebrated Christmas Eve with my sister and her family and my dad. I made a turkey and the works and it turned out very well. If I do say so myself. .. I haven't cooked a turkey in seven years so I was a little insecure making the whole meal, but years of watching my mom paid off!

Christmas day was celebrated at my mom's house. We ate cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes and then Cheesecake for dessert! Yum!

Evie has been enjoying all her new toys. I can't believe how quickly she learns to play with them!

A failed attempt at getting a "Papa w/ grandchildren picture"
George excited about one of his gifts
Make sure to watch the last two clips of the video below. Georgie is super excited about the first gift and then he got a duplicate gift and his reaction is priceless!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This will be my last update until after Christmas, so I wish everyone a joyous holiday filled with laughter and great fun!
"Cindy Lou Who"
I love this picture of Evie! It really shows you how big she's getting. One of her favorite past times is to pull all of her books down and start ripping the pages.
Evie and Cozy are great playmates! Cozy sees the benefits of another family member...someone who will play with her anytime she wants, someone who continually throws steak, spaghetti, and fruit on the floor for her to eat! Cozy has it good again!
Cute new snowsuit someone from my mom's group gave me! What a blessing!
Evie is growing like a weed!
