Milestone: Sitting unassisted????

Does this count as sitting unassisted? She's more so bent in half than sitting, but this is something she's never been able to do before. Does it count? Use the voting buttons to the right of the page and tell me your opinion. I'm undecided right now. Your vote will help determine the date that goes in her baby book! Thanks for your help!

Clip of the day

So even though I've changed Evie's clothes five times today(I won't go into detail why) and it's not even 1 o'clock, I love my new job! Being a SAHM is awesome! Hope everyone had a great Easter!

What does it mean to be Thankful?

We had this great minister at my church this weekend and he taught on the Mercy & Grace of God. He said that one way we open ourselves up to more Grace is by being Thankful for what God has already done. We don't deserve either Mercy or Grace, but God gives it richly to us and He never runs out of it.
So I woke up this morning to a new sheet of snow on the ground and was tempted to complain, but Oh no! Not today! Today I am thankful!

I'm thankful for this beautiful state we live in where we experience all four seasons.
I'm thankful for my beautiful, healthy daughter who brings me joy everyday. I'm so blessed to be her momma.
I'm thankful to be a Stay-at-home-mom (SAHM). God has provided for us is so many ways using so many different people and avenues that we wouldn't have expected.
I'm thankful for my wonderful, sweet husband who strives after God's own heart. We had our 10 year dating anniversary yesterday.
I'm thankful for the great parents I've been given. I wouldn't be the person I am without them.
I'm thankful for my great in-laws! I know a lot of people can struggle to fit into their spouse's family, but mine is a blessing to me and I love them very much!
I'm thankful for my dog, Cozy. Even though I yell at her sometimes (sometimes a lot) she still loves on me unconditionally.

These are just a few things I'm thankful for and I endeavor to meditate on the good things in my life and Give Thanks to the Lord for the many blessings I've been given. If you need some encouragement to be thankful here's a great sermon to listen to:
Thanksgiving
God Bless your day!

Back from AZ!!

My most wonderful husband sent me to Arizona for a long weekend. So I had no baby, no waking up in the middle of the night, no house to clean and no meals to prepare!!! It was a fabulous mental and physical break! The only thing I had to do was remember the directions to the SPA!!

I went with my friend from high school, Angie. It was so much fun catching up with her and we also caught up with our friend Elizabeth who just moved out to AZ about a year ago. We stayed with my Aunt Barb and Uncle John. They are the best! They are like a second mom and dad! Love you guys! I also got to see my In-laws (Sharon, Staci, Logan, Ali and O'rien). My nephew O'rion is sooooooo cute! He's about one and a half years old and has a ton of energy!!! My niece Ali is twelve and is growing up sooo fast! She is going to spend a few weeks with us this summer and I cannot wait! She is a beautiful (inside and out) and I look forward to bonding with her.

Everyone has asked me how I did being away from Evie and overall I did very well. I knew her daddy would shower her with love while I was gone and this was important bonding time for the two of them.
I would really start to miss her and Christian in the evening right before bed, but I didn't let myself dwell on it. It was okay to miss her, but it was not okay to let that ruin my trip. By the third day I had gotten what I was after (rest, relaxation and fun) and was ready to come home. Thanks Hubby for taking care of me and Evie!!!

I have to post a video clip because I feel like text is too boring without some sort of multimedia component. Here's a clip of Evie showing first signs of desiring to crawl and she's jabbering up a storm. This might be interesting to only Grandparents and maybe Aunt Danielle, but here it is anyways.
